Elise Willer is an international conflict management professional dedicated to helping people manage and improve relationships while creating value. She is a certified mediator and the founder of Journey Thru Conflict. In her work in public and private sectors around the world, Elise takes on roles including mediator, facilitator, trainer, consultant, confidant, advisor, mentor, ally, and more. She has extensive experience working in multi-ethnic and inter-cultural environments, especially in low-resource or conflict-torn locations.
Elise has designed and delivered highly customized training programs for Fortune 500 companies, international institutions, and a range of small NGOs. Notable clients include several multinational corporations in technology and finance, the United Nations Development Programme, the World Bank, the World Health Organization, the U.S. military, and Mulago Foundation.
Elise graduated with a BA in Political Science and French from Wittenberg University and earned dual Masters degrees at Brandeis University in International Development and Conflict Resolution. She studied mediation and conflict management through the Harvard Mediation Program and Program on Negotiation at Harvard Law School, and she now teaches through those same programs. From 2017-2018, she promoted the practice of productive conflict around the globe as a fellow with Insight Collaborative.
